Finance expert and professional art collector Adam Sender accumulated million dollar fortune during a Miami Beach-staged auction. He’s a licensed hedge fund managing partner and entrepreneur. He’s archived some of the industry’s finest artwork as part of his exclusive collection. He attended the Art Basel venue where he exhibited some extraordinary masterpieces. From the beautiful halls of a Miami Beach mansion he intends to sell, Sender mounted his vast collection of art. Sender has art by the likes of Rashid Johnson, Richard Prince, Chris Ofili and Cindy Sherman. He hired Sarah Aibel as the collection’s private curator. Since Sender and wife Lenore moved to Miami they’ve found new friendships. The couple invited many of their friends and the masses were in attendance.
The exhibition comprised of over 1, 000 masterpieces by 70 works. Analysts valued the collection at over an impressive $100 million. As a passionate collector himself, Sender got emotional as he auctioned his prized treasures. Sender began archiving valuable art during the 90s. He recently abandoned a position with SAC-Capital Advisors LP run by Steve Cohen and started a hedge fund trust. Sender admits that creative works by veteran artists didn’t cost as much then, but it has brought him a fortune today. Sender intends to continue auctioning works he’s collected and wants to keep his art-buying career in motion.
With life taking an unexpected turn, Sender remains confident about marketing contemporary art in the coming years. He founded Exis-Capital Management, an investment company established in 1998 and closed recently. Sender is of a Jewish culture, but worth an interest in Buddhism, he’s better described as a potential convert. In May, Sender sold works by Sotheby which generated a handsome fortune of an $364.3 million after surviving a sleepy auction. Art by Keith Haring, Rosemarie Trockel, Matthew Barney, Julian Schnabel, Sarah Lucas, Wade Guyton, Adam McEwen and Dan Flavin were record-breaking top-sellers too.
Sender wants to sell 400 works throughout the course of auctions he’ll conduct throughout an 18-month period. He has heart set on donating the top-notch works including 1974 Vito-Acconci Other-Voices-for-a-Second-Slight to prominent museums. Vito Acconci’s Other-Voices-for-a-Second-Slight comprises of a three-room size audio-visual installation.Sotheby alone enterprise half of the exhibitions Sender put up for auction. Todd Levin served as an adviser and he managed Sender’s Sotheby collection which amassed a substantial income.
Works by Sotheby included an artist community of 139 ranging from John Baldessari to Cindy Sherman. Initially, Sender intended to fetch about $70 million from sales, but Sotheby amassed a larger fortune. As an accomplished art collector, Sender has earned a place among Wall Street’s elite contenders. He’s finalizing a divorce from wife Lenore after an exclusive 11-year marriage. The competitive art market keeps Sender extremely busy these days auctioning off grand masterpieces.
